Job Vacancy: Assembly Fitter

Contract: Permanent

Location: Dungannon

Hours of Work: Flexibility to choose 4 or 4.5 day work per week.

4 day week: Monday to Wednesday 6 am-5.15 pm, Thursday 6 am-5 pm

4.5 day week: Monday to Thursday 7 am-4.45 pm, Friday 7 am-1 pm

Rate of Pay:  Depends on experience

Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of a range equipment used in a recycling, material handling and quarry industries are looking for Assembly Fitter to assist with day to day assembly on the factory floor. The post holder will be involved mainly with various fitting and assembly type tasks, however they may be asked to perform tasks other than those directly related to assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly line fitting. To read and clearly understand engineering drawings.
  • Assemble machines to correct specification and quality standards using relevant specification and Bills of Materials.
  • Assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components using battery and air power tools.
  • Grinding and cutting operations using 9” an 4” angle grinders.

General:

  • Uphold the Core Values of the company and work to achieve the wider organisational objectives as detailed in the Core Plan.
  • Achieve high standards of personal performance, through meeting agreed personal targets and undertaking training as required.
  • Maintain high standards of personal accountability.

Essential:

  • 2 years’ experience with hydraulics and heavy machinery assembly.
  • knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Flexibility to move between required tasks, business needs and departments.
