Rutledge Recruitment is currently seeking caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our established community care team in the Cookstown, Dungannon, Magherafelt Area. We provide high-quality domiciliary and sitting services to elderly and vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes. Our sits range from 2 to 9 hours, depending on individual needs, with both day and night shifts available.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide personal and practical support tailored to each client’s care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing sitting services for elderly and vulnerable adults
- Assisting with personal care including:
- Dressing/undressing
- Bathing/showering
- Toileting
- Feeding
- Mouth and hair care
- Administering/prompting medication
- Meal preparation and refreshment support
- Supporting mobility, including safe use of hoists and mobility equipment
- Providing companionship and engaging activities
- Bed making and light household duties
- Maintaining accurate daily records
- Travelling from home to home within your local area

Key Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence
- Access to a vehicle for work
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced Access NI check
- Willingness to register with NISCC
- Previous care experience desirable but not essential (full training provided)
- Good standard of verbal and written English
- Caring, friendly and professional attitude

Additional Information
This role is subject to a clear ACCESS NI Enhanced Vetting Check as it involves working in regulated activity. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to employment.
