Child Care Team Leader – Omagh

Are you a passionate and experienced childcare professional ready to take the next step in your career?

We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Team Leader to join our team and lead our dedicated staff in providing exceptional care and education to young children. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the growth and success of our establishment.

This role will be on a temporary ongoing basis for the next 6 months with a view to becoming a permanent role. Pay rate will be from £13 to £15 per hour.

The role involves creating a supportive and engaging environment through play to enhance physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the center, including staff scheduling, curriculum planning, and adherence to licensing requirements and regulations
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and engaged in meaningful learning experiences
  • Collaborate with parents and families to ensure open communication, address concerns, and promote parental involvement in their child’s education and development
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that meets the needs of children and complies with health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Childcare or working towards this) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum planning, and best practices in childcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff members

Hours of work:

  • 7.45am to 6.15pm
