This course allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the retail sector and contributes in a learner’s understanding for further education.
Designed for learners who wish to gain a basic understanding of the Retail sector and aims help those candidates learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression.
To achieve this qualification learners will have to complete a selection of mandatory modules including: Understanding the business of retail; Understanding customer service in the retail sector; Understanding how a retail business maintains health, safety and security on its premises and Understanding the retail selling process.
In addition learners will choose a selection of optional modules, sample topics include:

Retail Knowledge provides learners with the basic understanding on the Retail sector, such as customer service and teamwork. It is a more advanced course in our series of Retail Knowledge courses.

The qualifications are for candidates who want to increase their skills and take on more responsibility.
To achieve this qualification learners must complete a single mandatory unit; Work effectively in a retail team. In addition learners will choose a selection of optional modules, suited to their job role or career path. To give you an understanding on this course sample topics include:
- Sort donated goods for resale or recycling in a retail environment
- Maintain food safety while working with food in a retail environment
- Contribute to monitoring and maintaining ease of shopping in a retail sales area
- Process customer orders for goods in a retail environment

By working with their assessor they will have the opportunity to demonstrate adding real value to the business.
The Level 3 Certificate is ideal for those working in logistics operations and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. For those who are able to work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring work meets the required standard. Suitable for those who may wish to progress into management.
This qualification is made up of 3 mandatory units: Make an effective contribution to a business in the logistics sector, Health, safety and security at work and Optimise the use of logistics resources. Learners will also have to choose from a selection of optional units across 4 groups, topics may include:
- Improve performance in logistics operations

- Arrange the transportation of goods using multiple transport modes
